Finished in Gunmetal Grey with blue upholstery, this late entry Jaguar 240 is variously described by the vendor as being in "good" (2.4 litre engine, four-speed manual plus overdrive gearbox), "average" (electrical equipment), "very good" (interior trim) or "excellent" (chassis, bodywork, paintwork, wheels / tyres) condition. While, we are further informed that 'RVF 685G' "was subject to a major restoration in 2007. Many new body panels such as sills, wings, doors and a boot floor were professionally fitted and it was repainted to a very high standard. At the same time the running gear was replaced / refurbished including the springs, shock absorbers and brakes etc (the latter were also upgraded). Only the engine and gearbox were left untouched. Though, the car runs very smoothly with good oil pressure and correct temperature". Riding on wire wheels, this smart Jaguar is offered for sale with MOT certificate valid until June 2009.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
