Car to be at auction 12/20
www.historics.co.uk/buying/auctions/2020-12-12/cars/ref-135-1968-jaguar-mk-ii-24 ...

Auction description:
Lot 346 - 1968 Jaguar Mk. II 240
Registration VPE 617G
Chassis Number 1J3273DN
Engine Number 7J3844-8
Odometer reading 16,447 miles
Estimate £9,000 - £13,000

Original colour combination
Manual gearbox with overdrive

First registered on 2nd August 1968, this Jaguar presents in very good useable condition. The 2,483cc XK engine is a reliable and robust power plant and when mated to a manual gearbox with overdrive, as is the case with this example, can be a joy to drive. Finished in its original colour combination of Fern Green with Black Ambler interior, the burr walnut wood has been refurbished. Supplied with a V5C registration document, this Jaguar is both MoT and Road Fund Licence exempt. These super stylish cars create interest wherever they appear and with the larger engine examples regularly commanding prices of £30,000 and above, this 240 appears to offer excellent value.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
