Car to be at auction 11/10
www.bonhams.com/cgi-bin/public.sh/pubweb/publicSite.r

Auction description:
Sale 18219 - Collectors' Motor Cars, Motorcycles and Automobilia, 17 Nov 2010
Yorkshire Event Centre, Harrogate
Lot No: 771
1968 Jaguar 240 Saloon
Registration no. 62 FYG
Chassis no. 1J3241DN
Engine no. 7J378-8
Estimate: £8,000 - 9,000

We are advised that this Jaguar 240 previously belonged to Joe Richards, chairman of the Football League in the 1960s and the man responsible for introducing the Carling Cup. The car was restored in 2006 and is described by the vendor as in generally very good condition, with excellent chassis and engine. Finished in Old English White with black interior, '62 FYG' is offered with sundry restoration invoices, old-style logbook, current MoT/tax and Swansea V5. No reserve.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
