Ebay item 1/31/14 www.ebay.com/itm/Jaguar-Other-240-1967-jaguar-mark-ii-240-conversion-4-speed-jus ...
Car has a buy it now price of $15,995 for 9 days.
Sellers description:
This car was a "cheapened" version of the previous Mk II 2.4 model it was mainly cosmetic. The once standard leather upholstery was now optional as less expensive Ambla (leather like) interior took over. The integrated fog/spot lights were now optional. The most obvious external change was the adoption of a slimmer, single chrome bumper bar front and rear, similar to that on the Jaguar S-type models. Out of sight the straight port cylinder head was adopted and twin SU HS6 carbs were fitted instead of the previous solex carb. This gave the car a useful power increase and resulted in a top speed figure increase. Production of this last-of-the-line Mk II ended in 1969 after the new XJ6 had firmly established itself.
You just don't see many cars like this, with just 3716 right side drive Jaguar 240's ever produced. Owner believes this one came over to the United States around 1976. The car was originally the color you see on the top, which we believe is called Pearl Gray but not sure. The maroon color was added by previous owner. We hope someone will keep it here but it's likely someone will try to get this car back to the UK.
Identification plate is as follows:
Car # - 1J1368 (used on title for a VIN)
Body # - 4J1409
Engine # - 7J 1400-8 (8 indicating 8:1 compression)
Gear box # - JC7874
The car features four wheel disc brakes, good tires, a working AM/FM cassette, and working gauges. Mechanically the car appears to be in great shape with only some minor exhaust work needed. We also found in our inspection that there is a problem with the back doors. You need to reach in from the front and open them from inside. You'll need to pull the door panels off and see what's going on but likely an easy fix.

Car to be at auction 6/14

Auction description:
Manufacturer Jaguar Cars
Model MKII 240
First Registered 1968
Registration No NNJ 350F
Engine No 7J1400-8
Chassis No 1J1368DN
MOT None
Colour Fawn/Brown
Offered here is a very sound example of a 240, which has recently been imported from Springfield Missouri. The car is in amazing, very sound condition both externally and internally. In fact the car has been fully retrimmed in leather, in place of the original Ambla and has a new set of carpets as well. The bodywork is quite amazing, with no signs of any filler or repairs on any panels.
Finished in Ascot fawn over metallic topaz, the car is equipped with the 4-speed manual transmission, plus overdrive. It is offered complete with the original owners handbook and the original service booklet, complete with stamps up to July 1978, at 51,000 miles. The file also contains a workshop manual and a petrol ration booklet from the 1973 fuel crisis!
The car was registered to a lady in Cambridgeshire in 1980 but was exported to the USA some time after that. There is evidence, in teh file, to show that the car was in Tuscon, Arizona in the mid eighties, plus a bill from Ostend Garage in 1978 but it was bought in Missouri and repatriated earlier this year.
The car is offered requiring some recommissiong and replacement of the exhaust rear silence, which appears to have been wiped off on the journey from the USA to the UK.
This is, in the writers opinion, one of the soundest MKII Jaguar's we have ever seen. The bodywork is just superb with no sign of the usual rust problems associated with the model. An excellent basis for a superb specimen.
Guide Price: £8500 to £10000
