The Jaguar 420 saloons were always the poorer brother of the more desirable Mk2's. Why there has been such a discrepancy in price no-one is really certain but one thing is sure - that differential is closing all the time as more people realise that these really are very good cars indeed.
This particular 1967 example is painted in Gold with Red trim and it has had a lot of restoration completed, apart from the interior, and it is now in exceedingly good condition. All this work is documented and there is a complete file of the last five years history of the car and during this time over ú8000 has been spent. Also in this thick history file are all the M.O.T. certificates dating back to 1973 and this as well as other factors does lead the owner to believe that the mileage of 13000 miles is correct. However although there is much history to point him to this belief it is impossible to be absolutely certain and therefore he cannot fully warrant the mileage. Naturally all the history will, as always, be viewable in the document office prior to the sale whereupon you can make your own mind up!
It is currently tested until March next year and it has the four speed manual gearbox with overdrive and it is a lovely car in need of use be it to go on rallies, to use daily or both. It won't look out of place at either."
