Lot #70224
This 1966 Jaguar MK X is finished in dark blue over light gray leather and is powered by a 4.2-liter inline-six paired with a three-speed automatic transmission. Equipment includes a Blaupunkt AM/FM/cassette stereo, air conditioning, power windows, reclining front seats, rear folding tables, 14″ knock-off wire wheels, power-assisted steering, and four-wheel disc brakes. The car is said to have been the subject of a refurbishment completed under prior ownership in 2009, which included a repaint and refreshing the interior. This MK X was acquired by the current owner in 2010 and is now offered on dealer consignment in Delaware with manufacturer’s literature, partial service records, local Jaguar owner’s club awards and scoring sheets, and a clean Maryland title.
The car was repainted in its current shade of dark blue under previous ownership in 2009 and features quadruple headlights, chrome bumpers with overriders, dual side mirrors, dual exhaust outlets, and chrome window surrounds.
Chrome 14″ knock-off wire wheels are wrapped in 215/75 Firestone FR380 thin-whitewall tires. The car came factory-equipped with power-assisted steering and four-wheel disc brakes along with independent rear suspension.
The cabin was reportedly refreshed during the refurbishment and features reclining front seats trimmed in light gray leather with black piping along with a matching lower dashboard, center console, and door panels. Equipment includes burl wood trim, a Blaupunkt AM/FM/cassette stereo, front and rear air conditioning, power windows, and rear folding tables.
The two-spoke steering wheel features a chrome horn ring and frames Smiths instrumentation consisting of a 140-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and auxiliary gauges. The five-digit mechanical odometer shows 97k miles, approximately 3k of which were added by the current owner. Total mileage is unknown.
The 4.2-liter DOHC inline-six features triple SU carburetors and was rated at 255 horsepower when new. The selling dealer states the fuel filter and multiple fluids were replaced in preparation for the sale, and seepage from the oil pan is reported.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a Borg-Warner three-speed automatic transmission. Seepage from the rear differential is noted.
