Ebay item 7/4/09

Current bid $2,500, no reserve, 5 bids 5 days left in auction. Complete VIN on this car is J661D75491BW

Sellers description:
1966 Jaguar MK X.
4.2L with its triple SU Carburetors is in great condition. Major Service has been done about 18 months ago. Carbs were completely restored, fuel tanks removed for cleaning, fuel pumps restored plus many other components replaced or corrected for proper operation. Motor idles at 700RPM and 40LB oil pressure. Total cost of the above work was around $6K.

MKX has always been a western car and managed to escape the drudgery of dealing with rust.

Magnificent MKX should be restored to its former glory. Paint looks presentable after wash and wax but it is old and oxidized, leather is serviceable, wood trim has to be re-veneered. Superficial rust spots make the preparation for paint straight forward. Underside of the Jag is very solid and rust free with exception of one small spot at midpoint of drivers floor. Chrome is actually in a very nice condition, window frames are clean and bright and bumpers are very presentable as they are.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
