The Jaguar 3.8 S-Type which we are offering for sale joined its current owner's collection five years ago. A fan of the big cat, he regularly maintains his own cars, always taking care to order replacement parts from the top Jaguar specialists.
The bodywork shows no sign of accident damage, while the floor and underbody are sound. The interior displays an authentic patina with its original Connolly leather, original carpets and well-preserved woodwork. Fitted with a four-speed manual gearbox with overdrive, this 3.8-litre S-Type is a delight to drive. A test run on the 'autoroute' let us assess its handling, which we found very consistent.
It drove as if it were on rails, while its progressive brakes were stable and pulled the car up straight, even in the wet. Regarding the maintenance carried out, the stainless-steel exhaust is in near-new condition, while the seals for the doors, boot and bonnet have all been replaced recently. All the new parts were supplied by SNG Barratt (with supporting invoices to hand) and the car will be supplied with its four original wire wheels and nuts to restore. Reliable, comfortable and in sound condition, this S-Type Jaguar represents a fine opportunity to acquire a quintessentially English luxury saloon at a very reasonable price.
