Being offered here is not only an S-Type 3.4-litre right-hand drive four-door with overdrive, manufactured at Jaguar's famous Browns Lane factory in 1965, but a very well prepared and ready-to-enjoy long distance event saloon. The Midlands owner selected this model as being the most suitable for the task due to its independent rear suspension, large boot and fuel tanks giving it an advantage over the Mk2.
Having found this example with freshly overhauled engine, the following additional preparation was carried out - renewal of front and rear suspension joints and mountings, fitting four-pot calipers along with new discs, wheel bearings and hubs to accommodate chrome wires, power-assisted rack and pinion steering assembly, high output alternator, Kenlowe auxiliary cooling fan, high capacity battery and electronic ignition.
Also fitted were a pair of new fuel tanks with replacement pumps and new brake servo air tanks. The gearbox layshaft was renewed as were all bearings within the four-speed manual gearbox and clutch assembly. The entire wiring loom was replaced and a new radio with CD player fitted. We understand that, with paint stripped, four new door skins and lower wings were fitted and a claimed to be high quality respray in the current metallic blue carried out and new rubbers fitted to all doors and windows.
An inspection of the invoices for parts used contained within the documents file is recommended. Both current MOT and tax disc will be valid until October, whilst the 81,000 mileage displayed when entered is believed by the owner to be the genuine total.
PLEASE NOTE: The estimate for this vehicle has changed."

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
