Sellers description:
This 1967 Jaguar 3.4S Type Saloon is finished in Black exterior with red leather. It has the twin carb 210hp inline 6 cylinder engine and automatic transmission. The S Type Jag is similar to the MKII Jaguar in many ways but it has four wheel independent suspension, larger rear boot and a more luxurious interior with more wood trim than the MKII models. According to a report by the S Type registry this is one of just three LHD 3.4S Saloons in their registry worldwide as of the year 2000. Two were in the USA and one was listed in Australia. This particular Jaguar was originally purchased by a lady in Paris, France. She later moved to Chicago and brought the car with her. The car was acquired by an Indiana Jaguar enthusiast in 1994 who had a complete show winning restoration done on the car bringing it to a level of restoration which earned it a perfect 10 score at the JCNA concours in the summer of 2000. In 2001 the car was obtained by one of our long term customers who added it to his private and seldomly seen collection. It has been stored for the past few years until we recently acquired it and recommissioned it. The car still shows exceptionally well after all of these years and is a joy to drive. It is quite a unique example of Jaguar rolling art and is believed to be one of only a handful of these left hand drive models in the United States and perhaps the finest example in the country.
