The Classic Car Gallery is proud to present this beautiful 1965 Jaguar Mark II Sedan. This car is not simply a restored Mark II, but a fully re-engineered vehicle featuring modern suspension, ignition, interior, steering, brakes and tires!!! In the early 90's an experienced engineer carefully choose a clean donor car and began a ground up restoration that took over 5 years. The car recieved a score of 98% at a regional Jaguar event in 1995 and has stood up well over the years.

She was born with the following optional factory equipment; tinted glass, reclining seats, 4-speed with overdrive, wire wheels, fog lights, wing windows and power steering.

While retaining the original flavor of the classic Mark II Jaguar, the car was re-engineered to incorporate many modern amenities designed to make this car run and drive like a modern vehicle. The car features fully functioning Air Conditioning, inertial shoulder harness rewinder, wood rim steering wheel and latched custom designed vertical hood hinges. The entire electrical system was redesigned using modern wiring, relays and fuses. All wiring is fused to less than the wire capacity, so it is now impossible to melt wires. The cooling system was extensively modified as well. Extra coolers were added as well as extra cooling fans. This car never runs above 180 degrees, even in the most extreme situations. She was built specifically to handle modern roads and conditions, and to be "a competent vehicle in today's world."

The goal was to create a Mark II that was able to be driven every day comfortably and all the while maintaining the vintage look and feel of the original car. A power steering rack was installed in addition to CD Player, power antenna, modern tires and capacitance discharge ignition with modern alternator. The brackets for the accessory belts were all re designed to accommodate a modern A/C compressor. An additional auxiliary radiator was installed to ensure that the car ran cool during the hottest of weather. An entirely revised electrical system incorporates separate fuses for all electrical components. An MSD ignition was employed to assist in spark and increase point life. The SU HD-6 carburetors were converted to manual choke using an E-Type choke. Polyurethane motor mounts were used and rubber throughout the rest of the car to ensure a comfortable ride. Q-Pads were installed throughout the cabin to improve noise cancelling and insulation. The entire dash and firewall were reconfigured to hold the A/C evaporator and control components. Custom "scissor" hood hinges were designed and installed, thus allowing the hood to be opened vertically for ease of servicing. The car just received a Carburettor rebuild, lube oil and filter and new suspension bushings. The car was just driven up from Tennessee with no issues; she is reliable and can be daily driven. The level of quality and professionalism that was employed during the build is self evident; no expenses were spared. Full documentation of the build and the reengineering are available and come with the car. You can be assured that this is the most modernized and re-engineered Mark II on the market today. This car was reengineered and built with an eye towards daily transportation, reliability and offering real world convenience and driveability; this goal was met in spectacular fashion!!
