Current bid $10,099 reserve not met, 6 bids, 5 days left in auction.

Sellers description:
The combination of the Golden Sand Metallic exterior, combined with its red leather interior, made the Hemmings photographer ask, and then feature this car in the 2001 Hemmings British Car Calendar. A show stopper every time it’s shown, it has won JCNA 1sts in Regional and National shows from Massachusetts to Texas for several years, each time scoring in the high 90s. Like most 60’s cars, the MK-2 is adorned with beautiful shiny chrome, accenting the beautiful paintwork.

Fully sorted out, its engine has no more than 2,500 miles, and runs perfectly. The body paint and chrome are nearly flawless, and the interior and carpet are “as new”. It comes with two sets of chrome wire wheels, one shod with bias ply show tires, and one set with radial tubeless whitewalls, making driving it, a pleasure. It is equipped with a 4-speed manual + overdrive Jaguar transmission, both of which work perfectly. The wood is in stunningly perfect condition.

I invite you to see this car in person, where after examining and driving it, you’ll agree that it is one of the world’s best MK-2s!

If you are the winning bidder, you’ll own an appreciating classic that will give you pleasure every time you go for a drive, or when you accept your trophy at a JCNA concours!.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
