Ebay item 5/10/22www.ebay.com/itm/134112669380
Current bid: $5,600 reserve not met 5 bids 6 days left in auction, seller salesmotorcars, 50k miles.
Seller's description:
This is a very nice Quality Driver that we are offering for Sale. The Mk 2 is such an Iconic Part of Jaguar's Success with a Production Run from 1959 to 1967. This Particular Jaguar Saloon has the most desirable feature of a 4 Speed Manual Transmission With Factory (working) Overdrive.
It is a Left Hand Drive Vehicle and it has Solid Steel Wheels with Chrome Hub Caps and Trim Rings, it has Rear Passenger Seat Trays mounted in the front seats backs and it has pretty much already been Sorted out.
The Great Color Combination or the Silver with the Red interior is also very desirable and looks Great too.
The 3.8 Liter they used in the Mk 2 is very similar to the Engine that they used in the E-Type with having the same block, crank, connecting rods and pistons but uses a different intake manifold and carburation with only two SU Carbs versus the three on the E-Type. The head used in the Mk 2 has curved ports compared to the straight ports on the E-Type configuration. So still a very nice engine for the car with a ton of torque. And mated with a Manual transmission like this one makes it a true Joy to drive.
This car is truly a great "Driver" and will be a nice Super Fun Car for the Hobbyist to tinker with and make even nicer and all the while enjoy years of ownership as it appreciates in value too.
It does have it's small Bumps and Bruises from being a 60 year Old Vehicle. But all just minor Cosmetic ones, like for example, period incorrect issues such as the interior being done over with Vinyl and not leather with the wrong type of carpets too. However, the car does fire right up every time and Runs and Drives Great!
