www.carandclassic.co.uk/auctions/1967-jaguar-mk-ii-34-nk7Ljn
Auction description:
1967 Jaguar MK II 3.4
*** Interested parties should note, this vehicle was subject to a CAT N insurance write off IN 10/2018***
∙Recent rear end body rebuild
∙Tax and MOT exempt
∙A good example of British automotive icon
The History
There is very little history with this car sadly.
It was involved in an accident some time recently and then classified as a Cat N total loss, but the current owner took it on and repaired the damage to bring the big cat back into proper condition.
The Paperwork
On the day of the photographs there wasn’t any paperwork present, so we cannot vouch for what paperwork there currently is on this Jaguar.
There isn’t a V5 with this car so the new owner will need to apply for a new one.
The Interior
The interior of this Mk.2 is what you’d expect from a classic Jaguar; it's filled with leather and wooden trim, almost as fine as any club of the time.
There are a few issues however within the inside, with some of the aforementioned fixtures and fittings starting to show some signs of wear. The wooden dash could probably do with a bit of love to bring back to its former glory.
It may have a few issues but features like the seats are in good condition and are like sitting in an old armchair.
The Exterior
Finished in a lovely green Jaguar Mk.2 looks stunning, there are only a handful of car that look this good. The sweeping lines of a 60’s Jaguar are unmistakable and coupled with the chrome and miles of bonnet it does signify something special, these days cars do not look this good.
As you’d expect from a car of this age there are a few marks here and there, with some lacquer peel on the rear left wheel arch and there are a few rust spots.
Recently the car was involved in a rear end collision and was subsequently written-off as a total loss after the insurance company couldn’t source any parts therefore it is now a category N car. The current owner took on the challenge and repaired the rear quarter to be as good as new.
The Mechanics
The mechanics of this big cat were proving temperamental on the day that the photos were taken.
The current owner stated that he will get the issues sorted out at a classic car specific workshop before the car is sold.
Winning Bid (17 bids) £10,000
