Auction description:
Coy's Fine Motor Cars & The Jaguar Legend, Chiswick House
Saturday 3rd July 2004
Lot 1164
1967 Jaguar Mk II
Registration no: TGC 271E
Chassis no: 171559DN
Estimate: £4,000-5,000
This Jaguar Mk II will prove a worthy warhorse on those long journeys. Presented with a manual gearbox and overdrive option, this big bumpered model is reported to have excellent mechanics, she starts on the button and drives well. She also benefits from the addition of the newer interior from a 340 as well as a partial restoration programme undertaken in the 1990's. A very drivable car that could be improved upon whilst in general usage.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
