Auction description:
Kempton Park Racecourse
Lot : 64
1960 JAGUAR MK II 3.4 LITRE
Estimate: £7000 - 9000
Mileage: 99970
Colour: BLUE
Trim Colour: BLUE
Chassis No: 150664DN
Engine No: K92081/8
Registration No: 5775 DA
M.O.T: MARCH 2008
Finished in blue with blue leather upholstery, this particular example is described by the vendor as being in "good" condition with regard to its engine, four-speed manual plus overdrive gearbox, electrical equipment, interior trim, chassis bodywork and paintwork. A comparatively early car (MK2 3.4 litre production began at chassis number 150001), '5775 DA' was reportedly "laid up 1984-1990" before undergoing an extensive restoration in 1991. Treated to "a new headlining and carpets" as well as a major overhaul of its "body, chassis, engine and chromework", the saloon is said to have covered some 99,970 miles from new but just 5,000 of those since work was completed. Riding on chrome wire wheels shod with new tyres, this nicely presented Jaguar is offered for sale with "original tool box", MOT certificate valid until March 2008 and historic class (free) road tax valid until April 2008.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
