This 1960 Jaguar Mk 2 was refurbished in black and silver over a red leather interior under previous ownership before being acquired by its current owner in 2013. Power comes from a numbers-matching 2.4-liter twin-cam straight-six paired with a four-speed manual transmission featuring overdrive. Service in 2019 is said to have included an oil change, a new generator and overdrive solenoid, leak and fuel system repairs, a tune-up, and more. This Mk 2 is offered by the seller on behalf of its current owner with a Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust certificate and a clean California title in the owner’s name. The Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust certificate shows a production date of March 24, 1960 and lists the factory colors and configuration.
Originally finished in solid black, the car was repainted in its current black and silver color scheme under previous ownership. Painted 15″ steel wheels wear polished caps, trim rings, and Super Ride whitewall radial tires. Four-wheel disc brakes were standard equipment on the Mk II.
The interior was reupholstered in red leather under previous ownership and features matching carpets and door panels, a burl wood dashboard, a period pushbutton AM radio, and rear-seat writing desks.
A two-spoke steering wheel frames a 120-mph speedometer and a tachometer with an inset clock. The odometer was reportedly reset during the refurbishment and shows 381 miles, 100 of which were added by the current owner. Total mileage is unknown.
The numbers-matching 2.4-liter inline-six features dual overhead cams and twin Solex carburetors, and was rated at 120 horsepower when new. Work in 2019 is said to have included a new generator, a coolant flush, an oil/filter change, a carburetor service, oil leak repairs, and a tune-up. A cold start video has been provided by the seller. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a four-speed manual transmission with electrically-actuated overdrive. A flush of the fuel tank was performed in 2019, along with the installation of a new fuel filter, overdrive solenoid, and pinion seal.

Purchased this car in 2020 and the car now happily resides in St. Louis, Missouri. Occasionally driven, beautiful restoration.
