Jaguar’s Mk 2 saloon has long been a mainstay of the collector car market both because it was such a landmark model for the British brand and because it’s such a useable classic. Such is the case with our 1964 example, which is a show regular and, therefore not unsurprisingly, presents in great condition. It has been refinished in white and the chrome work repolished, though there’s some pitting evident to the taillight and number plate housings. The paintwork is in good shape and, unlike many of its ilk, this Mk 2 sits on its original steel wheels rather than retrofitted wires, however the whitewalls tyres look a little wide for the rims. Inside, the cabin has been retrimmed very nicely in rich, red leather with matching carpets, refinished wood and felt headlining. The interior is lovely, with only the steering column stalks in need of a little TLC. Our ’62 Jaguar also has the preferred four-speed manual gearbox with overdrive. Indeed, the whole car is all in nice, useable condition with nothing major needing doing, it’s a fine example. Previously on Victorian club registration, the 1964 Jaguar Mk II saloon is being sold here unregistered and at No Reserve.
