Auction description:
Body colour: Gunmetal
Date Manufactured: 1964
Registration Number: GRF 606B
Chassis Number: 117243DN
Engine Number: BJ27868
History:
First registered on 31st January 1964, this car has had only four owners from new, the last of whom has owned it for 20 years. Now back on her original number GRF 606B, the car has covered a certified 30,300 miles from new and is said to be in outstanding condition throughout. Finished in Opalescent Silver, the car retains its original red leather interior and rare 'Henly's' centre console, also trimmed in red leather.
The car is fitted with genuine Jaguar curly hub chrome wire wheels and benefits from a full stainless steel exhaust system and a Motalita wood-rimmed steering wheel. She is also fitted with a correct Blaupunkt radio with windscreen mounted aerial ? no holes are drilled in the body of this car for aerials or wing mirrors. The car is said to drive extremely well with excellent oil pressure and temperature and is MOTd until December 2006.
It comes with many spares including the original road wheels and hubs, a large quantity of service items, the original workshop manual and a fitted car cover. The tool kit is perfect and unused from new. A large history file accompanies the car including all previous MOTs and tax discs since 1974 (when the private plate HOB 49 was fitted, since removed). The original green log book plus all subsequent variations of log books and a Heritage Certificate verify the car's authenticity.
Altogether an exceptionally fine example of one of the most handsome saloon cars ever made.
NB Please note the registration number shown in the picture is not included in the sale.
