The vendor bought this lovely 1961 Jaguar Mk II 2.4 manual overdrive in May 2018 to accompany a blue Mk II which he already had, to do weddings. His circumstances have now changed, so he has decided to sell. The car is said to run very well, and starts first time. The car has had new front and rear screens fitted, and the carburettors have been rebuilt, as also has the power steering-box. The car has been re-trimmed with new carpets and new leather. The interior wood is said to be reasonable considering the age of the car, and as an old restoration the bodywork is not fault free, but the vendor stresses that this is still a good usable car which wouldn’t take much to get to a really good standard.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
