    Details
The example offered here is one of the earliest MKII Saloon known to still exist in full working order. Jaguar 2.4 saloon, chassis number 100004, was built in September 1959 and was first exported to Australia. Early in its life it was equipped with a 3.4 ltr engine. The car remained in Australia for the bulk of its life.

Finished in Cotswold blue with navy interior, the car benefited from a full repaint of it the, rust free, body in 1992, due to faded paintwork but it is predominately original, including the interior. It is said to be very sound indeed and is equipped with the desirable overdrive gearbox.

A unique opportunity to acquire one of the earliest known MKII's to exist.

This is a late entry and will not appear in the printed catalogue. A late and or replacement entry is available on the day.

I bought this car some years ago and it's now under full restoration.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
