This 1963 Jaguar Mk II is powered by a 3.8-liter inline-six linked with a five-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. The car wears a repaint in blue over tan leather, and equipment includes four-wheel disc brakes, 15″ wire wheels, knock-off hubs, front bucket seats, a B.M.C.D. radio, and a heater. Work within the last several years has included replacing ignition components, a drive belt, and the upper A-arm bushings as well as installing an aluminum radiator. This Mk II shows 64k miles and is now offered by the selling dealer with service records and a clean North Carolina title.
The car was refinished in its current shade of blue under prior ownership, and exterior equipment includes a Leaper hood ornament, a pop-up cowl vent, and chrome wraparound bumpers with overriders as well as a chrome grille, window surrounds, trim, and dual exhaust outlets. The windshield was replaced three years ago.
The 15″ wire wheels are mounted with Vredestein Sprint Classic tires. The car was factory equipped with an independent front suspension and a cantilevered live rear axle. Stopping power is provided by four-wheel disc brakes. The upper A-arm bushings were replaced two years ago.
The cockpit features front bucket seats and a rear bench trimmed in tan leather upholstery along with color-coordinated door panels. Burl walnut veneers adorn the dashboard, door caps, and window frames, and interior equipment includes a heater, a B.M.C.D. radio, and front and rear vent windows. The driver’s window winder handle was replaced last year.
The wood-rimmed Moto-Lita steering wheel fronts Smiths instrumentation consisting of a 140-mph speedometer, a 6k-rpm tachometer with an inset analog clock, and centrally positioned auxiliary gauges displaying water temperature, oil pressure, fuel level, and amperage. The five-digit odometer shows 64k miles.
The 3.8-liter XK inline-six was factory rated at 220 horsepower and 237 lb-ft of torque. The spark plugs, ignition wires, and distributor cap were replaced last year. The thermostat, housing, and a drive belt were replaced two years ago, when an aluminum radiator was installed. The car has been converted to an alternator.
Power is routed to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. The clutch slave cylinder was replaced in 2021, and the master cylinder was replaced in 2023.
The car is titled in North Carolina under its Car Number, P221180BW.
