Ebay item 7/22/09
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Jaguar-MK-II-3-8S-1961-Jaguar-MK-II-3-8S_W0QQcmdZViewIte ...
Car has a buy it now price of $29,500 for 6 days.

Sellers description:
This vehicle was purchased by its’ current owner twenty-one and a half years ago. It has received a complete cosmetic restoration and has been well maintained in climate-controlled storage. It always has been a good dependable, solid rust free car and while the owner cannot certify that the mileage is original, he believes the original mileage is under 50,000. The mechanics on the car are excellent and have been very well maintained/replaced/restored as necessary. The car is equipped with red line radial tires and also comes with two sets of rear fender spats: the original and the Combs racing spats. The wire wheels and knock-offs are new.

One of the options is the rare reclining seats. This is one of the nicest Jaguars we have had the opportunity to represent, regardless of model.

In keeping with its stellar heritage, this highly attractive and very original, matching numbers 1961 Jaguar 3.8 Mark II Sedan is ready to be driven and enjoyed. Offered in beautiful condition and a former part of a well-maintained collection, it features the aforementioned twin carburetor 3.8 'six' mated to a Borg-Warner automatic gearbox and overdrive. Other desirable items include a period correct AM/FM pushbutton radio, a newer stainless steel exhaust system and period style Coker Classic redline tires with wire-spoke wheels. A recent mechanical full service confirms the engine is well-maintained and the suspension remains original. The solid body, possessing good door and panel alignment, is richly finished in maroon and complemented by a matching original interior, a great color combination. In addition, the chrome and glass are also noted to be good, the windscreen is new, and the Mark II is complete with the original jack. Rightly considered the world's first "true" sports sedan, this 3.8-litre Mark II from 1961 is a fitting example of its groundbreaking original concept.
