Ebay item 1/7/09
cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll
Opening bid $8,000, no reserve, no bids yet 2 days left in auction.

Sellers description:
This MK II is registered as a 1966 with a 3.8L 4sp overdrive on newer wire wheels and tires. The car was in the process of being sympathetically restored by the previous owner who had a service shop for Jaguars for 30+ years before I purchased it.

The Engine has had a thorough check over and runs beautifully from a cold start with a solid 40psi oil pressure. The detailing was minimal on the engine as I know it was planned to be a daily drivers car.

The transmission has been serviced and gone through as well the overdrive and all works fine as far as I can tell as I have not had it on the road.

Brakes have been done with new parts, pads and rotors turned so a very complete and mechanicaly correct and tidy.

At some point before I purchased the car the interior was torn out completely and a new Bartlett's interior trim kit was purchased which includes; New black with red piping leather seat upholstery, door panels, head liner, insulation batting, and new carpets all in Black, Also new trunk liner is in the boxes as well.

Included with the car are new body rubber seals, door seals, windshield seals for front and rear, and new window guide felting and scrapes so a very comprehensive purchase for the restoration to a driver condition.

The Dash panel has been taken out and a restoration was started but not finished, and the car has two complete wood sets to make into one and also have spare parts.

The car in on newish tires with excellent tread, with chrome wire wheels which need cleaning as it has been sitting around for a few years.

Currently the condition of the body is fair with minimal rust in the structure, but does need some body work to the rocker panels and front fenders.

The floor is solid in all area's but has some pin hole rust under the drivers foot area and also in the right interior floor corner about 3 inches in diameter, all of which is very easily repairable in a home shop or other wise.

I purchased the car with the intent to finish it to drive but matters have changed.

There are many spare parts such as more body panels and boxes of bits that are extra all of which will go with it. Considering the work done and the interior replacement cost it is a great car to finish and drive.

Not a numbers matching car.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
