Auction description:
Jaguar 240
Motor vehicles, BCA (1st August 2006)
Overview
1968 example of the 240, manual transmission, and understood to be in faultless mechanical order. Coachwork seems to be largely original, finished in Beige and generally commensurate with very low ecorded mileage. Standing at just over 41000, being supported by service history and previous MOT certificates. we are advised. The coachwork colour is complemented by black interior trim and the car is said to have had just two former kepers and is offered with aforementioned service history and the original service book and driver's handbook.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
