Car at auction 11/25

angliacarauctions.co.uk/auctions/2728-01-Nov-2025/12005~1-1961-jaguar-mkii-34

Auction description:

Sat 1st & Sun 2nd November

1961 JAGUAR MKII 3.4

Chassis number: 108944

Engine size: 3442cc

This blue 3.4-litre Jaguar Mk2, with red leather interior and manual gearbox, is part of a deceased estate. It recently emerged from the garage where it had been stored since 1993, so it is being sold as a non-running project for restoration. Little is known about its history, but it is accompanied by an original workshop manual and the current V5C, which records only 2 former keepers. The car originates from 1961, and was first registered in the UK on 25th July 1979. Its odometer is showing 32,555 miles.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
